Think of the Apple Genius Bar. It works because it removes every barrier: no appointment, no cost, focused on your problem, staffed by people who are knowledgeable but approachable. Nobody walks in feeling stupid. Everyone walks out feeling capable.
The Studio is that, for AI.
What it is
You bring a real problem from your actual work. You leave with a direction.
Not a demo. Not a course. A specific thing you’re stuck on — a workflow that should be automatable and isn’t, output you don’t trust, a decision you can’t defend — worked through with someone who has done it before.
What it is not
- Not a sales pitch. Nobody is qualifying you.
- Not a training course. There’s no curriculum and no prerequisite.
- Not free consulting. The goal is that you can do it next time, not that we do it for you.
Why it exists
There’s a specific gap this fills, and it’s the reason the Studio matters more than it looks.
Traditionally you built expertise by doing real work under supervision — the middle rung, where someone more experienced checked your reasoning and told you what you’d missed. AI is quietly removing that rung. Junior work gets automated, so the supervised practice that produced senior people stops happening. The bill arrives about a decade later, when there’s nobody left who can check the machine.
Verification capacity cannot be taught in a lecture. It’s built by doing real work and having someone catch what you missed. The Studio is a deliberate attempt to rebuild that rung.
How it works
- Bring the problem. Messy is fine — messy is more useful, actually.
- Work it through with a practitioner. Usually 30–45 minutes.
- The outcome gets written up in Solutions Archive, so the next person with that problem finds it.
That last step is the compounding part. A Studio session helps one person; the archive helps everyone who searches afterwards.
Who staffs it
Amplifiers — members who’ve reached a level where they can help others, and who give back by staffing sessions. This is the flywheel: Studio brings people in → programmes build capability → graduates join the community → the strongest become Amplifiers → they staff the Studio.
If you’ve been helped here and you’re ready to do the helping, that’s the path.
Upcoming sessions are posted in the Upcoming Events subcategory. Past outcomes are in Solutions Archive — worth searching before you post, someone may have already hit your problem.
